SAP HANA is innovation in real-time business sector providing a re-imagined platform to it. SAP AG designed HANA with an intention to implement in-memory database technology (computing) which has four components listed below:

1. SAP HANA DB – Database Technology
2. SAP HANA Studio – Remodeling tools provided by SAP.
3. SAP HANA Appliance – Sector consisting of the remodeling tools under HANA Studio (the second component) which replicates and uses data transformation tools in order to transfer data into HANA Database (the first component).
4. SAP HANA Application Cloud – Cloud infrastructure for the delivery of applications.

How it works?

The SAP HANA Database is based upon the RAM which processes data via multi-core processors. It also transmits data from Solid-State Drives (SSD) which enhances the performance of diagnostic and transactional applications. SAP HANA also uses a multi-engine query processing environment in order to support relational data.
